The Attorney General attended the Commonwealth Law Ministers, Attorneys General and Senior Officials Meeting in Zanzibar, held between 4 to 8 March 2024. The theme of the meeting was, “Technology and Innovation: How Digitalisation Paves the Way for the Development of People-Centred Access to Justice.” Throughout the meeting, participants delved into the complexities of building a future where access to justice and the protection of individual rights are paramount to strengthening the rule of law among Commonwealth member states. The discussions fostered a deeper understanding of the challenges inherent in this endeavour and delegates reflected on access to justice, human rights, energy and extractives and the interface of law and technology.
