From 2 till 13 October, the Office of the Attorney General hosted two foreign prosecutors, Leopoldo Sanchez Valencia from Spain and Rieke Hoffmann from Germany, on an exchange visit organised by the European Judicial Training Network (EJTN). The Office prepared an eclectic exchange programme which included a series of lectures on the Maltese legal system and Court structure, delivered by AGO prosecutors, as well as visits to the Law Courts in Valletta and Gozo, and to the Court archives in Mdina amongst others.
The exchange also included visits to the Police General Headquarters, the Forensic Science Laboratory (MPFSL) and the FCID, in collaboration with the Malta Police Force – and the exchange participants also had the opportunity of attending Court sittings.
