At the 28th Annual Conference and General Meeting of the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP), held in London between 24-27 September 2023, the Attorney General delivered a presentation during the Special Interest Group Sessions titled, “Setting the Standard: Ensuring that prosecution agencies reflect and represent the people they serve.” This presentation discussed the critical importance of prosecution agencies reflecting the diversity and values of their communities.
Moreover, during the Conference, the Attorney General engaged in a number of productive bilateral discussions with her esteemed counterparts, including that with the Rt Hon Victoria Prentis, K.C., Attorney General for England and Wales and the recently appointed Dutch Prosecutor General, Sue Preenen. A meeting was also held with the IAP secretariat on the possibility of Malta hosting a regional IAP meeting in the near future.
