On 14 July 2023, the Attorney General held a cordial meeting with a delegation from the Commonwealth Lawyers Association (CLA) – a membership organisation for professional lawyers, academics and students practising within the Commonwealth – in light of a Commonwealth Law Conference to be organised in Malta in 2025.
The delegation composed of CLA President Peter Maynard, former President Mark Stephens CBE and Secretary General Brigid Watson, discussed issues pertaining to the agenda of the Malta conference, membership in the CLA, professional legal networks in Malta, the criminal justice system and other areas of mutual interest between the CLA and Office of the Attorney General.
